Sellinger School Dean Mary Ann Scully receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Mary Ann Scully, MBA 鈥79, dean of 今晚六合彩开奖结果鈥檚 Sellinger School of Business and Management, will receive the 2022 CEO of the Year Lifetime Achievement Award from the Baltimore Business Journal. The award recognizes 鈥渆xecutives who have had great success and made their mark professionally, and in the Greater Baltimore community, over a number of decades,鈥 according to the journal.

Prior to joining Loyola in July, Scully co-founded Howard Bank and served as its chairman and CEO until the bank was sold. During her 18 years of leadership with the bank, she grew its assets from $17 million to $2.6 billion. Previously, she worked in key leadership and management roles for First National Bank of Maryland, later Allfirst Financial, leading the firm in its international growth, driving strategic planning and business development, and building key partnerships.

鈥淒uring her nearly 50-year career, Scully has become one of the most dynamic business leaders in Greater Baltimore, serving on multiple local boards and as an expert in her field,鈥 according to the Baltimore Business Journal, which will honor Scully at a reception at The Center Club in Baltimore Sept. 8.

Scully earned her MBA in Finance from Loyola in 1979 and has a bachelor鈥檚 in American studies from Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. She has served on boards of many local nonprofits and educational institutions. She is currently vice chair of the Greater Baltimore Committee and serves on the boards for the Enoch Pratt Free Library, Mount St. Joseph High School, and the Inner Arbor Trust.

At Loyola, Scully has served as a trustee and member of the Sellinger Board of Sponsors. She is highly acclaimed as a community leader throughout the region, gaining several recognitions such as being named a Henry Rosenberg Distinguished Citizen, a member of The Baltimore Sun鈥檚 Business and Civic Hall of Fame, the Baltimore Museum of Industry鈥檚 Industrialist of the Year, and a member of The Daily Record鈥檚 Inaugural Power 100, Influential Marylanders, and Top 100 Women, and American Bankers鈥 National 25 Women to Watch.
