今晚六合彩开奖结果 will offer two new study abroad programs for the 2022-2023 academic year鈥攐ne in Seoul, South Korea, and one in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.

鈥淪tudying abroad prepares students to become Ignatian citizens who can discern with global competence and promote inclusiveness and respect for others with international responsibility,鈥 said Andr茅 Colombat, Ph.D., dean of international programs at Loyola.

Loyola sponsors study abroad opportunities in more than 20 countries, and more than 60% of Loyola鈥檚 students participate. Students typically study abroad their junior year for a single semester, although full-year, summer, and holiday study tours are also available. 

鈥淭he popularity of study abroad programs speaks to the value of an international education experience,鈥 said Colombat. 鈥淭he benefits are varied and numerous, from being more competitive in a global market to building life skills such as independence and resilience.鈥

Students in Loyola鈥檚 study abroad program in Seoul, South Korea, will study at Sogang University, founded in 1960 by Jesuits from the United States and the only Jesuit university in Seoul. Sogang University offers most of its courses in English and has 25 departments with seven undergraduate schools and 12 graduate schools. Study tours, field trips, and internships will be available, and students will have the opportunity to explore Seoul as well as the mountains that surround the megacity. The program runs one semester in either the fall or spring. 

Loyola鈥檚 study abroad program in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, is a one-semester, intensive service and learning program focusing on the Jesuit mission of promoting justice and solidarity with the poor. Students will study through Creighton University鈥攁 Jesuit institution based in Omaha, Neb.鈥攁nd take courses in the history and politics of the Dominican Republic and social justice issues pertaining to poverty. Students will also experience immersion in rural Dominican communities and have the opportunity to take an elective course with an immersion in Cuba.

Additionally, Loyola鈥檚 office of international programs will offer the following new study abroad programs: a study tour in Vietnam exploring its history and politics; a study tour in Spain, France, and Italy focusing on St. Ignatius of Loyola; a summer program in the Balkans featuring Bosnia and Croatia; and a spring break yoga and wellness retreat in Panama.
