Loyola鈥檚 ASPIRE program to host four-part webinar series for professionals interested in leadership

, Loyola鈥檚 extended learning community online education platform, will host a four-part webinar series, , to explore what it means to be an engaged citizen who seeks to lead change.

During the virtual webinars, guest speakers and panelists will examine four aspects of citizen leadership including dismantling structural and systemic racism, generational leadership transition, stewardship of place, and the impact of technology on society.

鈥淭hrough our Citizen Leadership in the 21st Century webinar series, Loyola鈥檚 ASPIRE learning community provides leaders with a framework for engaging on today鈥檚 most pressing challenges and, in turn, through peer dialogue harnessing insights to address the complex problems we face,鈥 said Auburn Bell, associate director of the Center for Continuing Education.

Dismantling Racism: Where do I Begin? 

Thursday, March 18, from 12:30-2 p.m.

Karsonya "Kaye" Wise Whitehead, Ph.D., professor of communication and African American Studies and founding executive director of the Karson Institute for Race, Peace & Social Justice, will provide insights about where to begin in the work of addressing racism and its consequences in our society. Kate Ebner, CEO of The Nebo Company, will moderate the event.

New Leadership: Catalyzing Transformation through Generational Change

Thursday, April 15, 12:30-2 p.m.

Michelle Geiss, co-founder and executive director of Impact Hub Baltimore, will moderate a conversation on the perspectives across generations on transforming our society, our institutions, and ourselves. This virtual conversation aims to address how Boomers, Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z can work together and how leaders can work with generational synergy.
